The food was very good and service was excellent. It has been a while but the prime rib was very good and the value was great.

Coworker was going here for lunch and I asked them to bring me back a steak flat with fruit for the side. The easiest way to describe the steak flat is if you take pita bread and load it up with steak, onions and pimento cheese. It was really good and I would definitely recommend. I felt it was a bit pricey but given the amount of meat and the quality of it I think that it was relatively decent cost. Fruit cup was as good as can be expected in mid-february and given the alternatives are kettle or baked chips I think I made the right decision. I would definitely get the steak flat again, and maybe next time I will actually go to the restaurant to be able to comment on that experience.

Sweet place in Shelbyville. Feels like you're having lunch in your great aunts fancy Victorian house. We came in about a half hour before they were closing and everyone there went out of their way to accommodate us. Food was classic country cooking elevated. Loved it!

Our party of 8 was impressed. This place reminded me of the best inns/taverns in New England. It had a solid menu with an option for everyone. Food was well prepared and delicious. The Old Fashioneds did the Kentucky bourbon proud. Service was excellent. The Bell House was an unexpected pleasure in a small town.

The Bell House Restaurant has so much character; I love the old historic home and the furnishings. We did not make reservations, but were able to still get seated. I ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown, and it was delicious! Service was quick, and everything tasted homemade. They had a brunch menu and tons of sandwich / soup combinations. The chef came out a few times to check on us and told us all the desserts are made in house too.
